  We were taking my children to John Hopkin's Water's Edge. I switched companies, and JHWE did not take my Keystone insurance. So, after doing some research, I saw Oxford Medical Center had great reviews, and they were close to us (in Rising Sun MD). They claim to be a family practice, but are not prepared to performance wellness visits for young children. They inconvenienced us on multiple occasions by having us come out for a wellness appointment and only having 2 of 4 of the shots available. Then, we reschedule another appointment for the following 2 and they only had 1 of 2 in stock. They were supposed to call when the last one got in stock... after 2 weeks, I called to follow up and I was told they still hadn't ordered it, but would order it today and should have it within a couple of weeks. 2 weeks later, I again called in and was told they were on back order and they would call as soon as they came in. To date, I never received a call --- that was in mid-summer; it is now almost February! My kids are behind on their vaccines, and Oxford Medical Center shows no concern! Furthermore, at their wellness appointments, they never spoke about development! Needless to say, when I received new insurance at open enrollment this year (cigna) we switched back to JHWE! If you have young kids, avoid the same frustration I have experienced and find a practice that cares about little ones!!
